An Offering of Gratitude
This is my offering. A deep prayer of gratitude, reverence & love to the lands my soul has been graced to be with. I am forever grateful and humbled by the peace & aliveness of the wild; the wisdom & guidance from the more than human world; and the sacred beauty & divinity of our Great Mother Earth. May I always walk softly in Her grace. In Gratitude, I Pray.
“For we will recover our sense of wonder and our sense of the sacred only if we appreciate the universe beyond ourselves as a revelatory experience of that numinous presence whence all things come into being. Indeed, the universe is the primary sacred reality. We become sacred by our participation in this more sublime dimension of the world about us.” Thomas Berry, The Great Work.
Thankful for you to be apart of this photographic & life journey, for seeing the world through the lens of a 180-year old photographic process. This is in dedication to continuing The Great Conversation, The Great Work.

The Artistic Process | The Making of a Photograph
As is most often true, where there is reverence, there is dedication. Film photography is no different. Each image takes a lot of time and effort to bring to life. There is the research and planning of the image, the film and camera preparation, the arrival and hike to the location, the technical and artistic decisions in the field work, the developing of the negative, and the scanning, post-processing and printing of the image. A final print is often a result of weeks or even months worth of efforts.
Learn more about the artistic process of large format film photography. If but nothing else, it will give one an appreciation for the effort it takes to achieve a final print.
